Using the latest ImageEN components with Delphi 11.2 - 32bit program.

I have been on this quest for many years and no one seems to get this properly working yet.

Using MediaFoundationCam demo on A Surface Pro 4 and higher machines.

When I select the higher FPS modes, they are chonky slow.

Even 640x480 30fps mode, it is really doing ~24fps

Higher the resolution you go, the worse it gets.. dropping down to as low of ~15FPS for a 30FPS mode.

Also, this only saves A frame from A stream of video.

This is NOT taking A Still image snap shot from cameras yet.

It would be nice if this support got added.

As this adds MUCH higher resolutions options then what the video/preview stream list shows and invokes focus and such.

Example 1920x1080 is the max resolution I can select.

But this camera can take 3264 x 1836.

With this, you tend to get a blurry image if you are actually holding the system or target is moving.

What kind of $$ would need trown at ImageEN to add this support?
We are dying here without it.
I was asked to reach out to find out if we can pay $$ to get this done.

To clean up the FPS issue and add Still Image Support ?

It would be highly nice to have ability to take images that are focused and not blurry and at the higher resolutions available.

It maybe ok to use what is available in ImageEN possibly.

Since it is making 1920x1080 images at least.

Only problem I see is, is the Image is mirrored horizontally wrong.

Add of course, it is only wrong it seems... On ... Surface Pro tablets!

I tried 3 other tablets and two usb cameras. And looks fine.

Using some other packages out there, they show it properly.

Sorry, it is not our primary focus, so investing a lot of time into it would restrict work in other areas.

Please email us directly if you want to discuss further.

Hi

MMF improvements are on our to-do list, but our work on it in the past has been hampered by its many limitations.

Video rendering is not our primary focus, so unfortunately work in this area will naturally lag behind that related to imaging.
